Hall Rental Policy
Fees
- Active Parishioners: There is no charge for the use of the hall.
- Non-active Parishioners and Non-Parishioners: There is a $75 charge for small events (up to 50 people) and $150 charge for large events (over 50 people).
Deposit
- For all renters there is a $150 deposit required for cleanup and/or damage.
- Upon inspection after the event if the hall is left clean and there is no damage, the $150 deposit will be refunded.
Insurance
- All renters are responsible for insurance. If alcohol is being served, Dram insurance is required. Insurance may be acquired through the diocese or your personal homeowner’s insurance policy. If you obtain insurance through your insurance company, it must be for $1,000,000 coverage.
- If alcohol is served, the policy certificate we receive must state that it includes liquor liability (if applicable) and must name the Diocese of Joliet and the parish name as additional insured.
- The date and time of the event must also be included.
- Certificate of insurance needs to be presented at least two weeks prior to the event.
Rules for hall use
- All paperwork and payments must be submitted before the hall can be used.
- If additional tables and chairs are needed for the event, they will be set up and put away by the renter.
- No tape, pins or nails can be used on walls, woodwork, or support poles.
- Only table decorations are permitted.
- No one is to go into the church or religious education classrooms.
- Children are to be supervised at all times. No playing in the elevator (SMM).
- Kitchen items for use are limited to appliances, paper products, cutlery, and utensils. Do not use any of the coffee or food items stored in the hall/kitchen.
- Bring your own dish towels for cleaning items.
- The hall, kitchen, and bathrooms are to be vacuumed or swept and left clean.
- If a spill occurs, clean it up immediately.
- Make sure the lights are turned off and the HVAC system is returned to nonuse temperatures.
- Absolutely no smoking in the building.
- Renters are responsible for removal of their garbage.
- The hall is not available on Sunday before 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise granted.
- All events must conclude by 10 p.m. unless otherwise approved.
