Funerals
We would like to express our sympathy on the loss of your loved one. We hope we can be a source of comfort as you prepare your loved one’s funeral.
- Date: You or your funeral director should call the Tri Parish Office and set the date and location of the funeral. No funerals can be scheduled on days when a wedding is booked.
- Time: The time of the funeral is to be worked out with the priest or deacon presiding at the funeral.
- Eulogies: A eulogy is NOT ALLOWED during the Mass but may be conducted before or after the Mass. Please discuss the matter with the celebrant of the funeral.
- Music: Music must be approved. Only liturgical songs are allowed.
- Wake: Generally, wakes are held at the funeral home. Traditionally, only priests and deacons are waked in church. NO OTHER WAKES ARE ALLOWED IN THE CHURCH. Use of the parish hall for visitation is permitted as an option.
- Fee: Generally, your funeral home will handle the parish donation.
- Luncheon: Use of the parish hall for the luncheon is possible, but this must be arranged through the Tri Parish Office. A donation to the parish for the use of the hall, CCW, and supplies is requested. Please discuss the fees with the Tri Parish Office.
